ABOUT

Hi, I’m Jessica Langstaff.
Leadership Coach & Trainer | Civil Engineer | DiSC Certified Facilitator

For nearly two decades, I’ve led technical teams and operations in some of the most demanding environments. As a professional civil engineer and manager at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, I’m responsible for providing safe, reliable infrastructure to support world-class scientific research for the Department of Energy. My role has given me the honor of leading engineering professionals, union craft workers, and frontline supervisors—including 24/7/365 operations staff.

Through those years, I’ve seen firsthand how essential strong leadership, clear communication, and a healthy team culture are—not just for productivity, but for people.

That’s why I started Equipt.

Rooted in experience and guided by faith, Equipt is my way of helping leaders rise to their calling. I specialize in coaching and training that empowers individuals and teams to communicate more effectively, navigate conflict with confidence, and create workplaces where people thrive. I'm a certified DiSC facilitator and use it as a cornerstone of my work, helping teams understand themselves and each other better. No matter the profession or industry, leadership is about people. I coach professionals from diverse fields—engineering, education, healthcare, skilled trades, and more—who are ready to grow their influence and impact.

The name Equipt was inspired by Hebrews 13:21:

“...may He equip you with everything good for doing His will...”

I believe we are all called to lead in different ways—and my mission is to help you become equipped to lead well.

This business is also a partnership. While I guide the coaching and development side, my husband Nick manages business operations. Together, we’ve built Equipt to reflect the same values we coach on: clarity, service, integrity, and growth.

Let’s work together to build something better—from the inside out.
